Cyber Monday is known for offering good travel deals — from 30% off or more on vacation packages from Booking.com to up to $5,000 a person on Uniworld Boutique River Cruises — but there are often a few catches to the deals you find. Indeed, Cyber Monday travel deals “tend to be date and location specific. But if you’re flexible with the date and location, you can end up with a huge savings on your next getaway,” says Kristin McGrath, shopping expert at BlackFriday.com. And rather than discounts across the board, McGrath says you’ll find especially deep discounts on trips to specific destinations and deals on specific resorts. (For example, you can now save 20% and get a $250 resort credit at Atlantis Bahamas.) “Timing can also be an issue. Most deals you’ll find are for the off-season and will require you to depart and return within a certain window. It’s best to keep an open mind rather than have your heart set on a certain destination at a specific time,” says McGrath. As for the best travel deals we can expect to see? They’ll be for resorts and cruises which experience a lull between the holidays and spring break.
